How it feels living the American Dream? I tell you, my friends! It feels A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
In 2012, I had the chance to go to America for almost 4 months. Most of the time I’ve worked in Ocean City, Maryland. And trust me, when I say I’ve worked, I’ve actually worked from dusk till dawn. But despite that, at the end of this crazy experience, everything feels like a roller coaster. It’s all ups and downs. An experience where you no longer breath, yet you feel so alive.
Yesterday, I was challenged to write down my USA memories from that summer and one night later, here I am, writing about my first crazy experience from that unforgettable year. It’s called the trip to the Universal Studios in Los Angeles.
The Studios are actually a huge live city in the middle of Los Angeles. You know, right next to the Hollywood sign – not actually in the middle of LA, but you get my point. And it leaves you speechless. Totally speechless. A new world, so colorful and jolly that you cannot help but fall in love with it. The truth is that I planned to visit the Studios for one single day. Yet I was so delighted by what happened there that I actually came back the second day.
A trip by train inside the Hollywood Studios with a tour guide is the best way to start the visit here. It’s the best occasion to see the landscapes of Hollywood and all the movie scenes. Yes, movies are shot here and you might actually get to see some real actors around. Who knows? Maybe you are lucky enough to meet Brad Pitt or Jessica Alba. Come on! We’ve all had a crush on them, at some point or another.
Everything is loud here. The music, the people, the nature. You get to see cartoon characters walking next to you, stars from the movies performing in front of you, dancing cars from Fast and Furious, movie scenes, robots fighting with you or against you…and oh, boy! All those crazy rides. Imagine yourself riding a roller coaster while you sit next to Bart Simpson, you two sharing the same donut. Or you being the main character in a robot movie. Jumping from a New York skyscraper is other activity that you might actually enjoy. And that for sure will leave you breathless. Seeing Marilyn Monroe riding a pink Mustang in front of you or Dracula kissing you neck are just some other funny activities going around the visitors. Crazy moments, trust me!
Other than that, you can enjoy all the fancy shops, the palm trees, the landscapes, the games, the people. Everything is a new experience here. They put an entire show in front of you! A different reality that conquers you and you cannot get enough! And what’s funny is that you don’t even know where to look and where to stop as you see so many things happening all at the same time. So which one to check first? Is hard, I know.
Consider me crazy, but finally, I’ve made up my mind! When I grow up, I don’t want to be a pilot or a princess! I want to be a traveler! This way, I can come back one day and revisit this crazy world of Hollywood that left me thinking about a wonder world where there is no bad and no ugly.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my pictures as much as I’ve enjoyed living for 2 days in the awesome Hollywood Studios!
Till my next adventure, I wish you all a lovely weekend!
